From playgrounds to performance halls, these spaces bring the NBGES community together
NBGES Playfield
An outdoor sports facility with concrete turf and gallery seating for 1,500, 47 length*45 m breath ground measurement. Includes a basketball court, volleyball court, kho-kho and tennikoit facilities and space for staging events and prize distributions. Monthly fitness coaching sessions and separate restrooms for boys and girls are also available. Located at Chitrakulam North Street, it serves students from all NBGES schools.
R. K. Swamy Auditorium
A performance venue with a 300-seat capacity, attached to Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Senior Secondary School. Used regularly by all three schools for special assemblies, cultural events, and pre-primary annual days. It is also used by sabhas and the larger community for music, dance and cultural shows. It is located at 5 Sundareswarar Street, Mylapore.
Radha Swamy Centre of Excellence (RSCoE)
This centre offers dedicated floors for science learning, indoor games, music, dance, arts, and coaching for competitive exams. 3000+ students across NBGES schools use the facility. Funded by NBGES president Srinivasan K. Swamy in memory of his mother, it was inaugurated by the Governor of Tamil Nadu in December 2022.
Lady Sivaswami Prayer Hall
Lady Sivaswami students gather here every morning for assembly, in front of a beautiful marble idol of Goddess Saraswathi. It is also used by all three schools for lectures, cultural shows, annual days, and music and dance programmes. Beyond the schools, the hall serves the wider community, hosting Bal Vikas classes, satsangs, and summer camps.
Tag Auditorium and Rangaswami Kalaiarangam
An expansive red-soil ground with a stage at its heart, this theatre hosts parades, cultural programmes, alumni reunions, and daily sports practices. It’s a multipurpose auditorium and indoor court for games within the Lady Sivaswami campus in Mylapore.
AV Multipurpose Room
The Audio-Visual Multipurpose Room at SSK Matric School can seat around 100 people and is equipped with Wi-Fi and a smartboard. It serves as a venue for seminars, workshops, staff meetings, special classes, indoor games, and wellness programmes like yoga.
